I have made considerable [[strikethrough]] relating to [[/strikethrough]] headway with the Ski-di band, and had hoped to complete [[strikethrough]] that band, [[/strikethrough]] their organization & ceremonies.   The other three bands I have [[strikethrough]] worked upon [[/strikethrough]] not entered save to learn of a ceremony or [[?feast]] [[strikethrough]] of the Chan-i nor had I intended to enter them [[strikethrough]] nor was it my purpose to take them up.  That field is quite open - untouched.

On the 7, I telegraphed to James Murie [[strikethrough]] on the 7th [[/strikethrough]] to come on here as I desired to see him about the work. [[strikethrough]] but [[/strikethrough]]  As he has not come I presume that he had already made arrangements with you. [[strikethrough]] which of course would prevent & as [[/strikethrough]]  Accordingly, I wrote him last evening, that if he had agreed to work with you in the next two years he need not come to me [[strikethrough]] an [[/strikethrough]] at this time.
