The pitiful lack for funds for repair &c.  render life at the Agency very hard at best - & if there no one who can be called on to help now & then the to take charge of the Omaha Agency.  The consolidation of the Omaha & Winnebago Agencies [[strikethrough]] under one Agent [[/strikethrough]] is [[striketheough]] most [[/strikethrough]] unfortunate and prejudicial to the progress of the Indns, particularly the Omaha, as the [[striketheough]] head-quarters are [[/strikethrough]] official of the Agency is fixed among the Winnebagos when
the Agent not living [[striketheough]] be only a visitor amoung the O's & he can only consequently only see the Omaha [[?reasonably]] - While the [[?late]] one [[/strikethrough]] Consequently the only arbitrator among the O is [[?superintendent]] placed in charge of the water.
