under this that [[?]]. It does not do well & therefore we wish to do away with these employees. We would like to speak personally with the Govt as to these changes we wish made. It seems to us that the Govt has given us things as playthings [[?toned]] to children to be used by all of them as something in common. The implements so given are left to rot, & money is wasted because there is no individual care or interest. No one owns them. If I could speak to your friend in the Govt I would tell them that we sold a part of our land that we might have money with which to buy implements & what we need for our farms, & that we desire to be given the use of our money to be treated as men, & not as children. We have come to see that certain changes are needful for the good of the people & we ask to be listened to and our wishes considered. You know our thoughts & wishes & I send them now by you fully trusting you to present them faithfully.
