Winnebago & Omaha
May 14 3

Hon. H. Price
Commissioner Indian Affairs

Sir:

Your letter of May 7, 1883 (L.) is received. I will ascertain as speedily as possible who among the Omahas desire claims West of the Railroad right of way. A protracted rain storm making the country almost impassable has delayed my seeing many of the people.

I will pay especial attention to this matter & guard against the influences mentioned in your letter.

Yours respectfully

Special U.S. Indian Agent.
