According to the treaty which is the law governing these allotments the Kuhn family have no right here.  The whole matter is set forth in my letter of the 4." inst. and in the answer received from the Department confirming my decision.

In view of the situation and to forestall and preclude any further trouble and contention I would respectfully ask the Hon. Commissioner if it would be possible to have his decision contained in letter #16623, dated Sept. 13" 1883, confirmed by the Secretary of the Interior, that there may be no possible appeal left these people who are breeding much trouble among the Indians.
