I enclose Mr Purdy's statement concerning the ages of his children. I have learned since my letter, that Mr Purdy is a white man. His wife is Mary Purdy, probably the one mentioned in your letter. "Enclosure No.8."
I have not yet received from Mrs [[Landrock?]] Russell the dates of the birth of her children. Nellie is about 21 and Celia about 17, years.
Joseph Payer seems to take little interest in the matter. He is married to a woman having rights here and is already well allotted on good land.
From what I can learn and from what the Agent tells me, it seems probable that this tribe would seriously object to having these children of citizens incorporated again in this tribe, and to take land here. This objection would [[cover?]] perhaps over two thirds of the Indians here, and it would be impossible to gain their consent. The Indians declare these people have drawn out and they should now accept their fate.
Respectfully
