themselves so cordially- I like friendliness & not enemies. Clara is a fine woman & Wilma a wonderful singer. I wish you could hear her-

Yesterday Jane Gay Dodge left for America- We all went to Bristol with her, Dr. Sturge Miss Gay & I, then after bidding Jane goodbye, the three of us went to Bath. It was very interesting, other things have been opened since we were there- I did so wish for you, as I do daily & as I shall as the days & months go on-

Miss [[Caster?]] Sturge came last night. She is the sister of Dr. Sturge & was in America in 1889- She saw you & Mr Cushing & remembers both. I had the comfort & pleasure of talking of you this morning to her. I shall probably make her a visit later. My plans are not yet decided. Strange that I do not hear a word from Dr. [[Hewitt?]] nor has Prof. Kelsey sent me the letter he offered me. They may come soon. This past week I have written two papers for the British Scientific Aso. "Anthropological Activities in America." and "A Side-light on Exogamy."

Transcription Notes:
