You have not told me what you did with the brass horse. Did you leave it at the Smithsonian? In whose care?.

It is storming snow, rain, & very disagreeable. The second vol. of the Handbook has just come, and the Omaha article is poor. it is by J. Owen Dorsey & Lynn Thomas, but never mind, the book will set it straight.

I have not been very well lately, but hope to be better soon. Prof Kelsey is here & I have a session with him & Prof Caude tomorrow morning. I have much to do to get the Institute affairs in order. I am saying nothing, but my mind is made up, and I shall not be persuaded to change it.
