Copete. He said that when Mr Logan died he left quite a comfortable sum to Miss Martin in recognition of her service to him, and Miss M. had devoted that money to taking care of the mines which she had got people to buy stock in. Copete was one. She has paid the taxes and kept the mine up, so that in the end, the stockholders should not lose. A very honorable action on her part. He said it was a good mine and one of these days it would probably pay back the holders of the stock. I hope it may. I said so to the gentleman, both on the account of Miss Martin who has acted so unselfishly and because of the stockholders. I shall be glad if we can get back what we put in. That is good news, I think.

Certainly it is good to hear of Cadman & his recovery. I only hope he will not go back too soon. So many do that. His winning a prize is good, & I am glad.
