My dear Francis,

It has grown very warm, and I feel the heat badly. Dora is not well & it makes me anxious. Every one is busy doing what we can to help Mrs. Parsons. I am to lodge Fleet & his Father; I believe, in your room. Fleet & Mr Parsons are to dress in my house, my room I suppose, and I am to have six of their guests to lunch on the wedding day. Unfortunately, so it seems to me, an invitation extended to the New York cousins "The Twins" before Alice had decided to be married at this time, seems to be considered to still hold good, so they have these two, & the James family to look after. That is why I asked them to lunch with me, on the wedding day. Dora being half sick makes it bad. She has the Doctor & I hope she will soon be better but the heat is against her. I have not been well since I went to New York & it all is a bit hard.

The outside of the house has to be painted  the men will begin today I think, as soon as the Fitzpatrick part is finished. Later I shall have to paint inside the house & I must
