I think Mr. Hodge will grant you the extra days without taking them out of your leave as they are used for business  If he does, can't you plan so as to get home, say on Friday P.M. June 30, Sat. is a ½ holiday, & Sunday a whole holiday and so you can be home a little longer?. You could utilize the ½ holiday of Saturday by a business talk with Mr. Hodge, which seems fair, rather than to take the business time out of your vacation. I dont think they would object, judging from the permissions given you to go to Pawnee for "comparitive study".

The house is all torn up, no place to sit, & little space save in one bedroom, & they will be painted this week  Mrs. C. will have to move into your room while her room is painted.
