oven for me the part of Da-o-ma [[?]] was done and I think it is going to be a fine thing. We have to cut down the [[?]] nearly half of it is too wordy and drags. We will have to come quickly to the climax in that act. I have begun the work of changing it. I have also made some little changes here and there in the part that is done and have improved it. I wish you could hear it all again.

I sent back a lot of page proof corrected and I have asked Mr. [[?]] to call your attention to some numbers in a diagram of the shell dance that do not correspond to the numbers in the diagram as they should. I thought you could make the corrections better than I could. The book is going to be a valuable one. I had to read all the proofs though it took time as it was so full of interest and it read remarkably well.

There is one thing I wish you would find

out for me and that is, in making out my expense account should I include my wash bills? I meant to have asked you this before but I always forgot.  I shall send in my accounts as soon as I get receipts from the [[?]] here. He is now busy in Court and cannot give me the receipts now. I got a letter from Mr. Hodge yesterday asking me to send in my expense accounts and to let him know how much money I shall need between now and June 30th.

I shall come home in July unless that pending wa-xo-[[?]] ceremony takes place in that month. In that case my plans for a vacation will be uncertain. Of course the work will have to be considered first before my vacation is thought of. The man who has the wa-xo-[[?]] is still undecided about the date when he will have it. I shall try to find out. I shall take 25 days in July. That will leave me five days
