Most of our conversation had to b about hospitals and the care of the sick and although my knowledge of such things was very limited I managed to make myself entertaining until Caryl cam home, and then it was about inherited lands, horses, cattle, Indians, etc.

Mrs C. I think is older than Caryl by four or five years. She is a good housekeeper - does all the cooking and washing herself. She seemed to be genuinely disappointed that my stay was not longer.
