I had quite a talk with the official who interfered with Wa-ri-shi when he wanted to open his fathers grave to take from it the pack that was buried with the old man and I think now that he understands the situation he will do what he can to assist in getting the thing.

This is the about the way my matters stand. I shall try to find [[Tse-pazhin-ga?]] this evening and if he is willing to give the [[?]] ritual tomorrow I shall work with him. Payment is going on now and most of the Indians are here and I expect to see the man this evening.

It begins to look as though the Committee may decide most of the contested cases in favor of Taft. Already several cases has been decided in his favor and that has set Roosevelt to crying fraud, [[?]], dishonesty etc. In a few days I hope we will hear of Tafts complete victory.
