Owing to the lack of trays, it has been impossible to do anything toward rearranging the collection of large birds in the West basement.

A large collection of birds from Cashmir, presented by Dr. W. T. Abbott, was worked up, thus involving considerable labor since most of the material was entirely new to the Museum. Much work has also been done on a large collection of birds from the Galapagos Islands.
