No. 70.}

I.  In accordance with instructions from Maj. Genl. [[underlined]] O.O. Howard [[/underlined]] Commissioner Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen & Abandoned Lands, dated Washington, Sept. 12" 1865, the following described property, will be restored to [[underlined]] A. G. Hubbard [[/underlined]] who claims to be the legal owner thereof, at such time as the Lease under which the said property is now held shall expire;  Part of Lot No. 64, East side Middle St. with improvements New Berne N.C.

II.  [[underlined]] Eliza Jane and Josephine L. Hall [[/underlined]] who claims to be the legal owner thereof, at such time as the Lease under which the said property is now held shall expire;  200 acres "Salter Land" and 1800 acres Grove "Plantation" on South River and Browns Creek Craven Co.

III.  [[underlined]] Simon Anathan [[/underlined]] who claims to be the legal owner thereof, at such time as the Lease under which the said property is now held shall expire;  One House and Lot on 2" St. bet. Market & Princess Sts. Wilmington N.C.

I.  The following named officer having been detailed for duty in the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, will proceed without delay to New Berne, N.C. and report to Capt. [[underlined]] Horace James [[/underlined]] Supt. of Eastern District for assignment.
2" Lieut. [[underlined]] Amos G. Tennant [[/underlined]] 28" Mich. Inf.
The Q.M. Dept. will furnish necessary transportation.

II.  In accordance with instructions from Maj. Genl. [[underlined]] O.O. Howard [[/underlined]] Commissioner Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen & Abandoned Lands, dated Washington, Sept. 12" 1865, the following described property, will be restored to Mrs. [[underlined]] Alice Sanders [[/underlined]] who claims to be the legal owner thereof, at such time as the Lease under which the said property is

now held shall expire;  One House and Lot Cor. Nunn & Front Sts. Block 100, Wilmington N.C.

III.  [[underlined]] Atlas J. Grady, [[/underlined]] who claims to be the legal owner thereof, at such time as the Lease under which the said property is now held shall expire;  One Plantation in New Hanover Co. known as "Island Creek" or "Grady Place" containing about 1500 acres Land.

IV.  [[underlined]] R. H. Grant, [[/underlined]] who claims to be the legal owner thereof, at such time as the Lease under which the said property is now held shall expire;  One House and Lot Cor. of Princess & 2" Sts.  One House and Lot Cor. of Nunn & 5" Sts. Wilmington N.C.  One Plantation on Wrightsville Sound containing about 100 acres Land with improvements.

V.  The following named citizen is hereby appointed Asst. Supt. of Education for Freedmen in this State without compensation for the Eastern District.

Howard [[/underlined]] Commissioner Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen & Abandoned Lands, dated Washington, Sept. 12" 1865, the following described property, will be restored to [[underlined]] Wm. H. Marshall [[/underlined]] who claims to be the legal owner thereof, at such time as the Lease under which the said property is now held shall expire;  One House & Lot Cor. of George & New Sts. New Berne N.C.-  One Tract of Land about 17 miles below New Berne on the Atlantic & N.C.R.R. containing 600 acres, and One Tract of Land at the heads of Black & Dogwood Swamps, containing 20 acres, Craven Co. N.C. 

III.  [[underlined]] Richard N. Taylor, [[/underlined]] Executor of the Estate of [[underlined]] Mary Taylor [[/underlined]] who claims to be the legal owner thereof, at such time as the Lease under which the said property is now held shall expire; Lots Nos. 35, 36, & 37, on New Front St. & Dirty Lane,-  Part of Lots Nos. 91, & 93, on Pollock St.-  Lot and improvements on Cor. of Craven & South Front Sts.-  House
