Owing to the circumstance that the incompleted rearrangement of the collection has left a large part of it in a chaotic condition, it is not now possible to prepare an accurate census of the number of species contained in the different series. Therefore, on this occasion the Curator can do no better than to give a statement of the total number of specimens in the skin and the mounted series, respectively, at the end of June 1893, which is as follows:-
