[[underlined]] Aug. 26 [[/underlined]], Hunted along river bottoms & got 60 bats from the wagon bridges. Tried to find Citellis columbianus but failed to find a fresh sign. Am afraid they look dried up.

[[underlined]] Aug. 27 [[/underlined]]. Hunted for Citellis without any success, got more bats & chipmunks, Made up [[specimens?]].

[[underlined]] Aug. 28 [[/underlined]] - Hunted & set traps & made up skins. Caught 2 muskrats &  Microtus  & Mus

[[underlined]] Aug. 29 [[/underlined]], Caught 3 muskrats & [[se?]] Microtus & made up skins.

[[underlined]] Aug. 30 [[/underlined]]. Made out expense acct. - wrote letters & arranged for trip up the valley.
