New York, August 1, 1927

Dear Miss Claffey,

I was glad to receive news from you and to learn that you are having a pleasant time in California, but that you still like your little old New York which after is a good place to live in.

I really do not know the exact idea of Mr. René about when we will need your services and he did not write me about it since his departure, so I can not give you any more information than you have already, except that I do not think a few days this way or that would matter. In any case, when you arrive in New York please call on us, as we shall be glad to see you again, and by that time I may have heard from Mr. Seligmann.

I think Mr. Trevor will be back in New York by the middle of September.

Thanking you for your good wishes, and wishing you and your mother a very pleasant trip,

Respectfully yours,

Miss Lucile I. Claffey,
1818 Whitley Ave.,
Hollywood, Calif.
