Dear Mrs. Clark:

We thought you might be interested to hear that we have just acquired a very important group of paintings, including the famous portrait of "Lady Lovat" by Sir Thomas Lawrence; a superb woman portrait by Sir Henry Raeburn and a very brilliant portrait of a British officer in uniform by George Romney.

We also own a very rare painting by Tintoretto which formerly was in the Vienna Museum and a very beautiful portrait of a young woman by Cranch.

If you would be at all interested in any of these paintings we would be pleased to let you have photographs and further particulars upon hearing from you.

Hoping to be favored with a reply, believe me to be,

Very truly yours
JACQUES SELIGMANN & COMPANY, Inc.
