December 1st.,
1937.

My dear Mrs. Clark:

I take pleasure in inviting you to view a most exceptional group of Degas paintings and pastels which I have assembled.

The nucleus of it comes from the celebrated collection of Mr. Lerolle, whose fame as a collector is certainly known to you.

You will find among them Degas' favorite subjects in their most perfect and brilliant execution - dancers, race courses, milliners, laundresses.

Looking forward to having the pleasure of seeing you here, I am,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
