Harold Nathan, Esq.,
c/o Cook, Nathan & Lehman,
111 Broadway,
New York City.

Dear Sir:

We have just received your letter of November fourth.

It was only on account of the personal acquaintance with Mr. Harry Lee that we had his exhibition last year, but no one in our firm is an authority on his work, nor qualified to give any opinion as regards the actual value of his paintings. Although we would be very pleased to be of any assistance to you, we do not think that our gallery could dispose of these paintings which would be more suited for a firm dealing in modern [[underline]]American[[/underline]] art.

With our regrets, believe us to be

Very truly yours,
