Gentlemen:

This museum is assembling an exhibition of musical instruments and paintings containing instruments, by well known artists. This exhibition will be current with a series of Sunday concerts sponsored by Mrs. Wallace Scudder, under the direction of Mrs. Rodney Saylor, at the Museum, and also concerts being given by the Griffith Music Foundation.

Would you be willing to lend "Mlle. de Verrierès playing the harp by F. H. Drouais". Do you still have this painting in your collection? We are prepared to insure loans and take care of their transportation in our own truck. Our exhibition opens on October 29th and will continue for five months.

I hope you will find it possible to look upon our request favorably. We will of course give credit to you in a printed label.

Yours truly
