To those bereft of hope, the newly blind, the Guild is the Friend who cares. It is ever near to help them to adjust their lives anew, and when possible to lead their groping hands to work.

This Department is the central artery through which the Guild functions. It investigates new applicants and directs each to the branch best suited to aid.
