My dear Mrs. O'Brien:

On my last trip to Detroit several years ago, I called you up but, unfortunately, could not see you as you were leaving town.

I will arrive in your city to attend the opening of the painting exhibition at the Museum Friday night, and we may perhaps meet there. Otherwise, may I take the liberty of phoning you with the hope that you will have a few spare moments to receive me?

Looking forward to the pleasure of seeing you,

Please believe me
Yours very sincerely,

(René Seligmann)
