Dear Sir:

Our New-York office has forwarded us your letter of July first, with the photograph of the painting by Van Dyck which we are returning you herewith. We are sorry to say that, on account of the subject, the painting is of no interest to us; however, we would be very pleased to do some business with you should you have anything to suit us. We are always interested in tapestries and paintings of very fine quality.

If you would be kind enough to send us, from time to time, photographs of various things which could interest us, there is no doubt that we could eventually purchase certain items from you. We are not dealing in needlepoint, but are especially interested in fine Gobelins and Beauvais tapestry; fine french furniture, also first class paintings from the various schools, except italian primitives on gold background.

Awaiting to hear from you again,

We are,

Very truly Yours,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & FILS
