Dear Mr. Pancoast,

I am herewith sending you the photograph of the picture about which I was speaking to you on Saturday.

It is a very rare portrait by François BOUCHER, the great 18th century French painter, of St. John the Baptist. It comes from the collection of the Countess de Grammont for whom we understand it was originally painted by the artist. It is very beautiful in color and measures 70-1/2" high by 45-1/2" wide. The picture is now in our galleries, and we will be very pleased to show it to you at any time you could come in here.

Awaiting, therefore, the pleasure of hearing from you again, believe me to be

Yours very truly,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO., Inc.,
