April 26, 1960

My dear Sir:

It is very good of you to write as you do in your letter of April 23rd expressing your wish to consult me regarding one hundred "good oil paintings" which you have for sale.

Before I could convey any opinion I would have to now more about the paintings to which you refer - who are the artists, whether American or European, and their period.

You inquire - and I much appreciate it - whether I would be "interested in handling the selling of those paintings"; but as I said above, it would depend upon the character of these as my field of interest is a limited
one.

Be this as it may, as soon as I will have heard further from you, I will no doubt be in a better position to answer your queries.

Yours very sincerely,

Germain Seligman
