^[[checkmark]] Dear Mrs. Sullivan:

It is good of you indeed, to have sent me such a lengthy explanations of your negotiations, and I want to thank you for your very nice lines of March 8th.

I am not in the least surprised that you should not be able to purchase paintings, as from past experience - and as we discussed it in detail - I knew how difficult (if at all possible) it would be.

What that country is trying to export, are commercial goods, and I don't doubt that along those lines you will be able to succeed.

With all good wishes for a satisfactory outcome of your endeavors, and looking forward to seeing you soon again, I am,

With best regards,
Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
