Dear Sir,

Your pleasant invitation to join the Mirador Country Club is much appreciated, and I wished that my present health condition allowed me to accept it.

I am afraid, namely, that I may be prevented from going to Europe this year.

At your leisure, however, I would like to hear about the daily expenses of a double bedroom with bath, as well as of the prices of meals. This you will understand in case I should invite a friend to be a guest of mine.

With renewed thanks,

Yours very sincerely,

Germain Seligmann
