The most noteworthy accessions during the year, named in the order of their importance, are:

[[underlined]] Dr. George F. Gaumer [[/underlined]] (Lawrence, Kansas.): eight hundred and twenty-seven specimens (80 species), from Yucatan and Cozumel. This is by far the most important accession of the year. (Gift.)

[[underlined]] U.S. Fish Commission [[/underlined]] (Washington, D.C.): two hundred and sixty-six specimens (over 70 species), principally from the Galapagos, Cocos Island, Hawaii, Mexico and Alaska. Collected mainly by Chas. H. Townsend. Two accessions. (Gift?).

[[underlined]] Dr. W. L. Abbott [[/underlined]] (Philadelphia, Pa.): seventy-one specimens (46 species), from Kashmir. Like former collections received from Dr. Abbott, this lot of well-prepared [[strikethrough]] lot of [[/strikethrough]] specimens contained [[strikethrough]] several [[/strikethrough]] a considerable number of species new to the collection. (Gift).

[[underlined]] International Boundary Commission [[/underlined]] : [[strikethrough]]  eighteen hundred [[/strikethrough]] Twenty-one hundred and [[strikethrough]] thirty-nine [[/strikethrough]] sixty-six specimens (about 250 species), from Mexican boundary line in Arizona, California, and Sonora. This series of well-prepared skins was collected for the Museum by Dr. E. A. Mearns, U.S.A., and Mr. F. X. Holzner.
