I have the honor to submit herewith a report upon work done in the Department of Birds during the month of September, 1894.

[[underlined]] Accessions [[/underlined]]

The number of specimens entered in the Museum register during September was 1359 (catalogue numbers 133378-134736 inclusive), the principal accessions being as follows:

From [[underlined]] R. Taylor [[/underlined]], Four Mile Run, Virginia; 7 specimens of the Black Tern, in the flesh, from Virginia. (Acc. 28495, Gift). [[checkmark]]

From [[underlined]] Dr. E. A. Mearns, U.S.A., [[/underlined]] Ft. Myer, Virginia; 330 specimens (70 species), from Arizona, and adjacent parts of California.
