Eighty-three volumes of unbound books and serials were catalogued and sent to the library for binding.

Two larger boxes of duplicate wading and water birds were withdrawn from storage, unpacked, and systematically arranged in cases in the fish corridor.

The preparation of the monthly reports for January-October (inclusive), and the annual report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1894, involved a large amount of time.

A series of birds was selected for the Illinois Wesleyan University, and this will shortly be ready for shipment. The series intended for the State Historical Society of Iowa, selected from the duplicate collection in October, will also be ready for shipment in a few days.

At odd times during the month, many specimens collected along the U.S. and Mexican boundary line by Dr. E.A. Mearns, USA, were supplied with labels.
