I have the honor to submit herewith a report upon the work performed in the Department of Birds during the month of May, 1895.

The number of specimens entered in the Museum register during May, was 1299 (catalogue numbers 145850-146766;  and 150120-150502). The most important accessions were:

From [[underlined]] Dr. W.L. Abbott [[/underlined]]; two hundred and eighty-eight specimens, from Kashmir, Ladak, and Turkestan. (Acc. 29359; gift). ^[[check mark]]

From [[underlined]] A. Boucard [[/underlined]], Spring Vale, Isle of Wight, England; nine hundred and seventeen specimens of Finches, Weaverbirds and Tanagers.
