Brown Goode, Assistant Secretary, in charge National Museum, Sir: I have the honor to submit herewith a report upon the work performed in the Department of Birds during the month of May, 1895. [[underlined]] Accessions [[/underlined]]. The number of specimens entered in the Museum register during May, was 1299 (catalogue numbers 145850-146766; and 150120-150502). The most important accessions were: ^[[check mark]] From [[underlined]] Dr. W.L. Abbott [[/underlined]]; two hundred and eighty-eight specimens, from Kashmir, Ladak, and Turkestan.
