13. (1) GIVE THE NUMBER OF SPECIMENS RECEIVED DURING THE YEAR, AND ALSO, SEPARATELY, THE TOTAL NUMBER OF SPECIMENS IN THE COLLECTION, AFTER MAKING ALLOWANCE FOR DEDUCTIONS THROUGH WASTE MATERIAL, EXCHANGES AND OTHER DISTRIBUTIONS.

(2) GIVE THE NUMBER OF THE LAST ENTRIES IN YOUR CATALOGUE ON JUNE 30, 1895, AND JUNE 30, 1896.

(1) Number of specimens received during the year (including those belonging to the Dept. of Agriculture collection) was [[underlined]] 8488 [[/underlined]], being an increase of 3001 over those of the preceding year.

The total number of specimens in the collection at the close of the year, deducting exchanges and other distributions, was: 86085. This does not include duplicates, which would probably amount to enough more, to make around 100000 specimens.

(2) The last entries in the catalogues on June 30, 1895, and on June 30, 1896, were:

In the regular catalogue: 150721-152825.
In the Dept. Agriculture catalogue: 136130-139687.
In the Boucard collection catalogue: 146766-149593.
