We got back to town at about 4:30 a pretty tired lot, and were glad to bed down early besides Bredin had to be up at 3.30 to make his plane.

Today we went back to P.O. to mail other letters and cards.  It is a frightfully busy place, and as Al Smith said they do not know what they are doing.  Make change, cash cheques, telephone, telegraph and what not.  Still we got our business done after some waiting in line.  This was bet 10 & 11 oclock.  At 11.30 we had an appointment with a Dr. Blanche in the local agricultural and forestry center.  It was a date arranged by the Consul for us.  Blanche was very nice dark complected gentleman, primarily a botanist, showed us some crustacea (F.W. str.) in an adjacent office & walked couple of blocks to home of a M. Debroc in hopes of seeing his collection of nat. hist. specimens.  Found his place lock up so we never did get to see it.  Blanche said man for us to see was J. Morice, and so he arranged a date with him at local yacht club at 3.30 p.m.  Proved to be
