coming." The mother ran to her daughter-in-law and kissed her. She said: "Now that you are here I will give you all my land. It's no use to me. I am already old."

The mother called all her followers to get a gold bed and mattress. When they were in the home place of Jambangan for about a year, the rumor came that Christian soldiers were planning to get his wife. There were about a thousand soldiers. The soldiers came in a big kumpit wearing their white caps. The soldiers had guitars and other musical instruments.

Jambangan said the soldiers were as numerous as the blades of grass. His told his relatives that they should fight the Christian soldiers. "We should not think of this world, but think of the afterworld. We should not be afraid to die."

Then the soldiers started shooting at them. The bullets were like rain falling from the sky to their houses. The sound of the cannons shook the world and created smoke for three months. After three months of fighting, all the Muslim people were dead: the only ones left were Jambangan, Sinaganbuhan, and Nurulla. Jambangan ran to his wife and kissed her. He told her: "My life will end in this battle."

Nurulla also ran to his wife and kissed her. He told her not to worry because he and Jambangan would go to the afterworld.

Jambangan ran to the soldiers and stabbed them with his kris. Nurulla followed him and did the same thing.

After three days, Sinaganbuhan shouted up into the air. Jairatel said to Sinaganbuhan: "I can see Jambangan and Nurulla. I know it is them because of their green pis. They are almost in the afterworld. They are still fighting the soldiers. In one thousand years, their promise to not retreat will be remembered.
