We cannot help to pay rent of the House.  My idea was that your support was provided for.  I do not know of any way through the Bureau to aid you.  I hope you will get on well: have a large school, and be happy in your work.  You have my best wishes.  I trust you will have a good boarding-place.  Please send your reports to Capt. Brubaker, who will furnish you with blanks.

The white teacher is still waiting for your report about the school at Frossburg.

Sir:
Please go on with the school work in Charles Co. as you have done.  At last accounts there were four (4) houses not finished.  I hope to hear they are done soon.  I have not yet secured a a teacher for the school near Budd's Ferry, but hope to soon.  Mr. [[underlined]] Butler, [[/underlined]] a colored man, agent of this Bureau is now I understand working in Charles Co.  He will report to you.  You will find him a very useful man.

This will save you the trouble of looking after things in Charles Co..  I suppose you have a notice to this effect from Major Eldridge.
