Sir:
[[underlined]] Genl. Howard [[/underlined]] and lady and myself, will leave here one week from tomorrow morning for your place.  We wish to have a meeting in the evening, if thought best.  We will go to Charlestown next day, and to Hagerstown in the evening, Thursday at Sharpsburg, Friday at Cumberland, Saturday at Frossburg, if we can, and to Fairmount at night, to spend the Sabbath.  If you will make arrangements for us to do all we can at all these places, except the last, all right.

We expect to reach Fairmount on Saturday night, the 22d and to stop there over Sabbath the 23d inst.  I hope we shall have the plasure of meeting you, and that we may be able to do some good in the cause in which we are engaged, while we sojourn in your town.
