Dear Sir:
Genl. Howard and myself, now expect to visit you in July. I cannot tell you just the day but probably about the middle of the month. As your school has been broken into so much, I hope you will be able to stay until the 1st of August. Please inform me immediately if you contemplate any change before that time.

Very Respectfully Yours.

Dear Sir:
We like your change in regard to Charlestown, but

not in regard to Sharpsburg. The Genl. wants to stop there as I wrote you either before we go to Hagerstown or afterward; perhaps it will be better to go before that we may hit a stage then. If we cannot get the stage we want you to arrange for a team. The General and lady want to go to the battlefield. I don't see how it will take more than one day to go to Sharpsburg.

Very Respectfully Yours.

Those teachers can stay in Calvert Co. just as long as the people will keep them. The Society will give them up as I wrote you. I hope the people will keep them.

Dear Sir:
Your letter received this morning. I intended, as you supposed, to write that we would be in Fairmont on Sunday the 24th inst. reaching there the night before. I showed Genl. Howard your letter and he wished me to write you again saying that we hope very much to see you. What we can do at F. I don't know. I suppose not much. You are all good friends to the colored people, and are doing, I hope all that can be done. I do not want to preach in white church on Sabbath. Genl. H. and wife are on their way West. Hoping to see your friendly face soon, I am

Yours Truly
