Dear Sir:

Two of the teachers missed the boat last Tuesday. They will come on next Tuesday. The man has gone to Milestown as you already know I suppose. His name is [[underlined]] Lee, [[/underlined]] a very good fellow.

If you find a first rate trade for two hundred acres of land, or more or less, please let me know.

Very Respectfully Yours,

Dear Sir:

I shall send three (3) men by the "Wawasett", on Tuesday, for the schools which you say are ready. I was out of town, and could not get them off this week. The people will have to buy their own books. I think you keep the books needed, and so shall tell the teachers to buy of you.

Please see that the matter of books, black-boards, and outline-maps is all right. I hope these schools may get what is due them from the County, as they ought. In Washington County the amount is paid, and more too: and the public is advised of the fact, and no objection made. Please write about this matter.

Very Respectfully Yours,

Dear Sir:

I hope there will be no delay in getting up the school-house at Hagerstown. I suppose you do not need any order to send the bricks needed, if you do, better get it. Do you understand that a plan for the house has been agreed upon? You will want such plan and estimate before you can know how many bricks to send. I am willing to furnish such a plan as I think they need, if desired so to do. We are not agoing to aid in building, too small a house, and we do not want them to go too large, if they do they will not get through with it without a large debt on their hands. Please let me hear from you. When do you want the $6.00.

Very Respectfully Yours,
