Dear Sir:

I send you a letter from Mr. [[underlined]] Wagonner [[/underlined]] about the deed to that land in Hagerstown. Please go there and make that matter right, and have the house go up. I have no doubt but that the deed of the land can be made good, but we want to be sure about it. [[underlined]] Matthews [[/underlined]] ought to know, and so had Mr. [[underlined]] Boldt. Dear Sir:

I return you the paper having queries and answers about the school at Elkton. I took a list of some places where schools are held, but I want to ask you if you cannot give me a list of the schools in each County, and the information which you have gathered in answer to your "queries", where you consider such information reliable. Could you not arrange it in tables and have your clerk write it out. If you can or cannot please inform me, and how soon I can get it: and what places do you know of now needing school-houses
