Please send books as per enclosed letter. Her address is Port Republic, Calvert Co. Md. Books should be sent to Plum Point, by boat, I judge, you know best, notice being given in advance of they day and way of their sending.

Very Respectfully, Yours

P.S. Hope you will get Miss [[underlined]] Oldham [[/underlined]] in at Furnace Branch, or some other good place. Miss [[underlined]] Jenness [[/underlined]] salary is provided for by some of the friends. I have nothing to do with it. Don't know where to find colored teachers for this part of Maryland. I am wrong, can send you more colored ladies if you want. I must have [[underlined]] men [[/underlined]] generally. The money matter is at this office. Will do what I can to get it.

Miss:

I think you had best remain at Darlington and bring the school up. I intend to visit you before long. How can I best get there? Miss [[underlined]] Anderson [[/underlined]] has been sent to Port Deposit, and I cannot now remove her, but hope you will both have good schools. They should furnish that house right away. Please tell them for me that they must go on and complete that house, and that they must give you a good boarding place. I send you register, blanks and rules, and expect you to report to me promptly.

Very Respectfully, Yours
