Dear Sir:

I am advised by Genl. [[underlined]] Howard [[/underlined]] to say that the Bureau cannot pay rent for school building after this date at your place. We have been willing to aid in building a school-house, and want to do all we can to aid the school, and are now aiding through the Baltimore Association. When the Spring openes if the people want to build a school-house, I trust the Bureau will be in a condition to afford some aid.

Very Respectfully, Yours
