I wrote you a few days ago that I would get your transportation so as to send you on the Columbia last Wednesday.  I have not the transportation yet.  If you do not receive it by Tuesday next I want you to come here and report to me at cor. 7th & O. Sts., or at Howard University Building, and I will send you.  Write to me, if you get my letters and will come.  I must send another teacher if you cannot go soon.

We expect you to inculcate temperance, and of course

not sell whiskey (this you have promised).  I send you Register, Blanks, Rules, and wish you to open school immediately.  Write me if you accept this offer, and when you open school.
