I will send some more soon. Hope you are sure of the men. I know that some poor men have gone from Lincoln University. Last year one went to Petersburg, Va., whose letter to this Bureau was the source of great amusement among the officers. I do not know that it was [[underlined]] Cain's. [[/underlined]]

There are schools at Salisbury and Snow Hill.

Dear Sir:

I shall be at your school in a few days. I cannot continue you, as the Society which pays you close their schools July 1st, but I will send another man to keep up a summer school of three months. He is from Lincoln College, and teaches during vacation. Tell the people and have the school in good shape for him.

Very Respectfully, Yours,

Dear Sir:

Ask Mr. [[underlined]] Evans [[/underlined]] what his son's name was, and what papers he gave me, and in what Regiment and Company his son was, and when he died and where, and who had the account.
I gave the papers to the proper officer here, and he has overlooked them, but with these facts it will be all right. Write immediately.

Very Respectfully, Yours,
