Your letter to Gen'l O.O. Howard about the school building on 19th St bet R & S St has been given to me for reply.  I am ordered by Gen'l C H Howard to ask what you will ask per month, for three months rent, with the privilege of a year.  We at the same time agreeing, if we rent, to give up the house at any time on [[strikethrough] three [/strikethrough]] two months notice.  If we rent the Building we shall do so for the purpose of establishing Freedmans Schools in that place.
