Washington Dc.
July 3d 1867.

Friend Janney,

I have your note. I have consulted with our officer in St Mary's Co. & he will see that needed repairs are made on the School House & Home at St Josephs.

The Colored Minister who preaches at Mount Tabor & Davidsonville, Ann Arundel Co was here yesterday, he says Mt T is not regarded as an unhealthy place, so far as he knows. They want a Colored Man at Mt T & a Colored Woman at Davidsonville, & they want the school [[underlined]] now. [[/underlined]], as many small children can now attend who could not in winter time.

I hope you will be able to send now. Please reply giving me your verdict.

Very Respectfully
John Kimball
Supt of Schools.
