Messrs Harper & Bros

Gentlemen

I am sorry not to send you at this time the amount those Books left me for sale, $31.19.
I inquired yesterday at the Library where they were placed & found that more of them were yet on hand. I will see that they are disposed of on the 1st of Oct when our schools open again because we have not sold them, it does not follow that nothing has been done for Wilsons Readers. They are gaining in favor, & you have rec'd several orders for them - different eds of the series -

The trouble with those at the Library is so few of so many kinds & the higher not yet used in our schools.

Very respectfully
John Kimball
Supt of Schools.
