Mr Chas H Brook,

Dear Sir,

I can send a white man, a minister to teach that school if he can be boarded in a white family & the incidentals of the school paid. Do you know how near done the house at Brighton is. If you cannot accept the white man I can & will send a colored woman [[underlined]] immediately [[/underlined]]. I think it would be better to have the man.

Genl Howard is away & I cannot come to see you [[? ?]].

Hoping to hear from you by [[underlined]] return mail [[/underlined]]

I am yours truly
John Kimball
Supt of Schools
